Measuring our visitors - We measure visitors to our website using Google Analytics. This records things like which pages you view within the site, how you arrived here, and some basic information about your computer such as which browser you use. All of this information remains anonymous, so we don’t know who you are; only that somebody visited the site. The information helps us understand which parts of our sites are doing well, and which could be improved.
Facebook, Twitter and other social networks - These services provide links which we use on this website. If you use their services, they'll generally know if you’re logged in, and that you visited this site. We don't have any access to their information or the cookies that they use.
To support the quizzes in each section, we've put together some extra resources to provide further information:
- Articles - Alongside the quizzes, you'll find short articles on related topics, to help widen your knowledge of that area.
- Calendar - Our calendar will let you keep up to date with what's happening in the night sky, and with many space mission events
- Glossary - As with any field of scientific study astronomy has a long list of important terminology. So we've put together a glossary where you can check you fully understand the meaning of the more unusual words!
