Words beginning with 'F' :



Field of view : the patch of sky seen through a telescope or binoculars. It is usually expressed as an angular area.

Finderscope : a small telescope auxiliary to a mounted telescope, on the same line of sight of the larger telescope and used for aiming.

Focal length : is the distance from a lens or mirror to the image that it forms (focal point).
